[ABOUT THE GAME]

A Fiery Warrior, seeking battles to thrill,

Travels the world, foes he seeks to kill.

In a cave he ventures, to face a giant Golem,

Alone together, heart racing, the fight has begun.


"This will be fun," says the Warrior with glee,

As he imbues his sword with his Innate Flame, wild and free.

The Golem attacks, swinging its massive arms,

But the Warrior dodges with swift, nimble charms.



[INSTRUCTIONS]

Controls:

  • W A S D -> Move
  • Space bar -> Jump (can double jump). Jump amount recharges when touching the ground.
  • Shift -> Dodge (has a 2.5-second cooldown after use).
  • Left click -> Sword slash attack.
  • S + Space bar on elevated terrain -> Fall down from terrain.
  • E (while touching the ground) -> TRANSFORM into Fire Sword Mode or revert transformation.

Fire Sword Mode

When Fiery Warrior is in Fire Sword mode, he gains these effects:

  • Sword slash does more damage.
  • Max jump amount increased from 2 to 3.
  • Sword slash attacks have lifesteal; if they hit the enemy, Fiery Warrior gains health.
  • Health decreases over time; make sure you hit the enemy more often to lifesteal or transform back to normal mode to avoid health drain.


[GAME JAM BUILD KNOWN BUGS]

Due to the Game Jam's time constraints, some bugs need to be addressed:

  • Camera size is too small, causing the enemy to go off-screen, even when using full screen.
  • WebGL build doesn't play music.
  • Volume changes on its own after reloading the level; make sure to check the volume sliders in the Pause menu, accessed by pressing the button above the timer.
  • The player can stick to vertical surfaces while in mid-air if moving toward the surface.
